We are an export broker and trader — we do not own farms ourselves. We work directly with a trusted network of smallholder farmers and local processors across Indonesia's finest growing regions. We handle sourcing, quality control, export documentation, and logistics on behalf of international buyers. Think of us as the bridge between the farm and your roastery.

We are based in Indonesia, currently focusing on sourcing from Central Java. As we grow our network, we will expand to other Indonesian coffee-growing regions including Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Flores.

GreenBean Indonesia is a new operation. We are transparent about this — we are building our track record lot by lot, buyer by buyer. Our advantage is not tenure; it is focus, direct relationships with farmers, and a commitment to honest communication that larger, more established exporters often lack.

Yes. We hold the necessary Indonesian export licensing to legally export green coffee beans from Indonesia. All shipments are accompanied by proper export documentation including Phytosanitary Certificate, Certificate of Origin, and Health Certificate.

We currently offer three Fine Robusta lots from Central Java's volcanic highlands: Temanggung Natural, Temanggung Honey, and Temanggung Washed. Each lot is available in 60 kg GrainPro-lined jute sacks. We are actively expanding our network to include Arabica origins from other Indonesian islands — updates will be added to our website as new lots become available.

Fine Robusta is a quality designation for Coffea canephora (Robusta) that has been grown at altitude, selectively harvested, and assessed for cup quality using standardised cupping protocols — rather than the defect-only grading used for commodity Robusta. Our lots come from farms at 800–1,100 metres above sea level in Central Java, where volcanic soil and altitude-driven temperature variation produce a cup profile significantly more complex than lowland commodity Robusta.

We are honest about this: we are currently in the process of having our lots professionally cupped by a certified R Grader. At this stage, cupping scores are available upon request based on our internal assessments. We will publish verified scores on our website once professional cupping is completed. We do not publish unverified numbers — buyers can request a sample and cup it themselves.

We currently offer three processing styles: Natural (full fruit dry process), Honey (Yellow — partial mucilage retained during drying), and Fully Washed (all fruit material removed before drying). Each produces a distinct cup profile from the same origin. Details are available on our Our Coffee page.

Standard screen size for our lots is 15–17. Custom processing or specific screen size requests can be discussed for larger commercial orders — contact us to discuss your requirements before placing an order.

We charge a sample fee to cover international courier costs. The exact fee depends on your destination country and current courier rates, and will be confirmed before dispatch. The full sample fee is credited against your first commercial order — so there is no net cost if you proceed to buy.

Each sample shipment (200–500g) is accompanied by a full lot data sheet covering: farm location, altitude, processing method, moisture content at dispatch, screen size, and defect rate. We can also include a cupping report if available for the lot.

Samples are dispatched within 3–5 business days of payment confirmation. International courier transit time varies by destination — typically 3–7 days to Europe and Japan, 5–10 days to the US and Australia.

Our standard minimum order is 1 × 60 kg bag (one GrainPro-lined jute sack). There is no minimum for sample requests. For buyers interested in larger volumes — FCL or LCL container loads — please contact us to discuss pricing and availability.

In some cases, yes — for first-time buyers we can discuss smaller trial lots. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements. Note that smaller lots may affect FOB pricing per kilogram.

Temanggung's main harvest runs June–September. We recommend contacting us by April–May if you want to secure specific lots from the upcoming harvest. Outside harvest season, we work from stored green bean inventory — contact us for current availability.

Yes. If you want to order more than one lot (e.g. Temanggung Natural + Temanggung Washed), these can be combined into a single shipment. Each lot will be separately bagged and documented.

We offer FOB (Free On Board) only. This means we deliver the coffee to the named port — Semarang or Surabaya — and load it onto the vessel nominated by you. Risk and cost transfer to you once the goods are loaded on board. You are responsible for arranging ocean freight, insurance, and import clearance at destination.

We ship from Semarang port (preferred) or Surabaya port in East Java, depending on lot size and available vessel schedules at time of shipment.

Every commercial shipment includes: Phytosanitary Certificate (issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture), Certificate of Origin, Health Certificate, commercial invoice, packing list, and Bill of Lading. All documents are issued in English.

Ocean freight transit times vary by destination and shipping line. As a general guide: Europe 20–30 days, Japan 14–18 days, US West Coast 25–35 days, Australia 10–18 days. We recommend contacting your freight forwarder for current schedules. We can assist with connecting you to a forwarder at destination if needed.

We work with established freight forwarders in Central Java. We are flexible — if you have a preferred forwarder or one at your destination, we can coordinate with them. Contact us to discuss the best arrangement for your shipment.

All green coffee is packaged in GrainPro hermetic inner bags inside standard 60 kg jute sacks. GrainPro is the industry standard for specialty green coffee export — it significantly reduces moisture transfer and oxidation during ocean freight.

Standard terms for first-time buyers are 50% deposit upon order confirmation and 50% balance prior to shipment. Revised terms may be discussed for repeat buyers with an established relationship.

We accept bank transfer (TT/wire transfer) in USD. All banking and currency conversion fees are the buyer's responsibility. We will provide full banking details upon order confirmation.

All prices are quoted in USD (United States Dollars) unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The sample fee is invoiced after we confirm your sample request and shipping cost. Dispatch occurs within 3–5 business days of payment receipt.

Every lot ships with a physical data sheet specifying: farm location (village and regency), altitude, processing method, drying method, moisture content at dispatch, screen size, and defect rate. Full farm-to-port traceability documentation is available on request for buyers who need it for their own sourcing records or marketing.

Farm visits can be arranged for serious commercial buyers. We believe direct relationships build better sourcing partnerships — if you are planning a sourcing trip to Indonesia, contact us in advance and we will do our best to facilitate a farm visit with our farmer network.

Custom sourcing — specific variety requests, custom processing, or exclusive lot arrangements — can be discussed for buyers committing to larger volumes.
